Vehicular Networks
Vehicular network applications use vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication to exchange information among vehicles, infrastructure, pedestrians, and cloud services, supporting safer and more efficient transportation. Cooperative perception enables connected vehicles and roadside sensors to share observations, extending each vehicle’s awareness beyond the range and visibility of its onboard sensors. Cooperative driving uses this shared information to coordinate vehicle actions—such as merging, platooning, lane changing, and intersection crossing—to improve safety, traffic flow, and energy efficiency.
Wireless Sensing
Wireless sensing uses changes in radio signals to detect objects, movements, or environmental conditions without physical contact. Channel State Information (CSI)-based human activity recognition analyzes how human motion alters the amplitude and phase of wireless communication channels—typically Wi-Fi—to identify activities such as walking, sitting, falling, or gesturing.
